As much as we all hate to admit it, every now and then we mess up on a product. i was wondering if any of you had used or heard of the stitch eraser. its in the melco-mart magazine and i was wondering if it was any good. any comments would be greatly appreciated!

To start, you hoop the garment as always and hit go. The sew disk should sew out an outline stitch. Stop the machine when the outline is finished. Once the outline is there, you know exactly where to put the twill. I always turn my machine way down (300 spm) to sew the tack down stitches. This way you can hold the twill down as the machine stitches around the design without getting your fingers in the way. Once the tack down stiting is finished you can turn the speed back up and let the machine put the zig zag or satin stitch around the design. You are finished and can cut the backing away.
If you are doing just one or two pieces of the twill you can do the tack down stitch and carefully (without removing the garment from the hoop) clip away the excess material. This takes a lot more time, but is less expensive.
From Stahls the Sew Disks will probably run about $50.00. I haven't purchased any in a couple of years, so I might be way off on that. The cut-out twill isn't too expensive if I remember correctly.
Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.
Congratulations by the way on the baby!
